Optical Clinic

The Camden County College Optical Clinic provides second-year ophthalmic students with practical and educational experience in their quest to become licensed opticians in the state of New Jersey. At the same time, the college community has the opportunity to obtain high-quality prescription eyeglasses and prescription sunglasses at a great value.

Current fashion frames are available at a discounted rate along with discontinued frames at a greater valued discount.

Clinic Information

The Optical Clinic is currently located in the CIM Center, Room 119 on the Blackwood Campus.

Any person with a valid Camden County College I.D. is eligible to be custom fitted and purchase prescription eyewear at the clinic. Eye exams are not offered as part of the Optical Clinic service. A valid prescription from an Optometrist or Ophthalmologist must be presented at the time of order. For the health of your eyes, you should have a complete eye exam every year from a licensed Optometrist or Ophthalmologist.

Cost and Payments

Frames with varying costs are available for purchase.

Some single vision, polycarbonate prescriptions are available while you wait. All custom orders, anti-reflective, photochromic, bifocal, progressive multifocal, etc., take
2 weeks for delivery.

Lens enhancements are also available: Transitional lenses, Anti-reflective coatings, polish edges, and polarized lenses.

The total cost of your prescription eyewear will vary according to the options chosen.

A minimum deposit of 50% is required at the time of order in the form of cash, check, or credit card with the balance to be paid at the time of delivery.
