Description:This NEW program will consist of various lectures and practical evolutions to meet the competencies for certification in the State of New Jersey and Pro Board Certification. This course will meet the N.F.P.A. 1001 standard for level I certification. This course is designed to instruct the students on the subjects / modules required for Fire Fighter I certification. Attending students will be required to pass a Pro-Board written examination, and tested on all practical skills to receive their accreditation.
Requirement(s): Students will need to bring their own lunch, (2) accountability tags, approved PPE & SCBA w/ spare cylinder each day.
Pre-requisite: MUST be 18yrs of age; CPR Certified; AND provide a physical form by an approved healthcare provider.

Junior Firefighter Training

Description:"This program is designed to assist those members between the age group of 16-18, recognize the occupational hazards, identify the tools of the trade, and begin building the necessary
skills needed to operate safely on an emergency scene. The program consists of several topics in Fire Dept. Organization, Firefighter Safety, Fire Behavior, Alarms/Communications, Hose, Nozzles, Appliances, Forcible Entry Tools, Ropes & Knots, Salvage / Overhaul, Ventilation, S.C.B.A., Ground Ladders, Fire Extinguishers and many others. Students will be given Hands-On Training in topics relating to safe fire ground operations. "

Fire Fighter II - Pro Board

Vehicle Extrication I

Description:This 19 hour program will consist of a lecture on the role of the first responder, EMS and various tools used in extrication. Students will review the principles of removing victims from wrecks and how vehicle construction is changing, making the process more difficult. The Sunday session will consist of hands on field evolutions using various rescue tools giving the participant the skills and knowledge needed to operate safely.
Requirement(s): Students will need to bring their own lunch and wear approved PPE & SCBA w/ spare cylinder.
Students will need to provide their own textbook: J&B FUNDAMENTALS OF FIREFIGHTER SKILLS- EVIDENCE BASED PRACTICES ENHANCED 3RD ED
Pre-requisite: Fire Fighter I or a member of an EMS/Rescue Squad.

Squad Company Extrication Response

Description:This 8 hour program will consist of a short lecture on the role of the first responder when dispatched as a squad company to an incident. Students will use the principles of basic extrication techniques in the changing environment. Hands-on field evolutions will provide the participants with refresher training in the use of the various rescue tools. This program is limited in class size to permit all particioants hands-on time.

The Operations program covers the requirements of NFPA along with current Rope Rescue Industry Standards and was previously offered as two separate sections; Rope 1 and Rope 2.
