The Fire Academy at
Camden County College

The Camden County College Regional Emergency Training Center located in Blackwood, New Jersey is a State of the Art, environmentally safe training facility with an on-site Burn Building, Smoke House, SCBA Training Maze, Confined Space Simulators, and various live fire training props.

The facility is designed to service the fire, police, business, industry and the community with all their emergency preparedness training needs.

In October of 2011, the NJ Southern Regional Training Academy at Camden County College was awarded the nationally recognized Pro Board Accreditation. The purpose of the Pro Board is to establish an internationally recognized means of standardized professional testing and achievement in the fire service and related fields. The accreditation for organizations nationally certifies uniform members of public fire departments, both career and volunteer.

State Certified Instructors train from the most extensive curriculum of courses available, designed to enhance the technical and practical knowledge, skills, and competencies for commercial and industrial personnel.

Our Mission

The Primary Mission of the Training Center is to assess, develop, provide, coordinate and evaluate competency-based emergency preparedness education and training utilizing an all-hazards approach.
