When teaching students mathematics, it is important to incorporate instructional practices that have been shown, through evidence, to improve outcomes and accelerate learning. This session highlights the use of visual representations, metacognitive strategies, and schema instruction. Participants will engage in activities that model these practices and leave with ready-to-use resources in their classrooms.
About the Presenter:
Chinwe Osondu, Ed.D. is a Special Education Consultant and Math Specialist. She is an award-winning educator with a proven record of accomplishments. She has extensive experience in inclusive learning practices, managing grants, and providing professional development to districts across the state of New Jersey. During her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.
