The program is designed especially for those students who wish to pursue a career in the law, politics, or public service. As part of the program, internships are available to provide on-site training and experience in local government offices. As a transfer curriculum, this option provides the first two years of a traditional four-year baccalaureate program.

Program Student Learning Outcomes
At the end of the program, the graduate will be able to:
- Display an understanding of the structure, function, history and operations of government institutions at the international, national, state and local levels.
- Compare and contrast the different motivations and constraints underlying political behavior.
- Explain the differences between developed and developing countries and compare and contrast the various challenges they face.

As soon as possible students are recommended to access curriculum requirements of possible transfer institutions. This program provides numerous electives which can be used to tailor student needs to that transfer institution.
