2021 Senior Citizens Art Show Juried Art Contest and Exhibition

What is the 2021 Senior Citizens Art Show Juried Art Contest and Exhibition?
Every year, the Camden County Cultural & Heritage Commission at Camden County College invites Camden County residents age 60 and older to submit artwork to the annual Senior Citizens Juried Art Contest & Exhibition. Any senior artist currently residing in New Jersey may submit artwork completed within the last three years. First-place winners at the County level advance to the State Senior Art Show. The competition is open to all professional and non-professional artists. Co-sponsored by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and Mercer County’s Division of Culture & Heritage, with support from the NJ Association of Area Agencies on Aging and Meadow Lakes, a Springpoint community, the New Jersey Senior Citizens Art Show is now in its 55th year.

Following up 2020’s successful virtual Senior Citizens Art Contest and Exhibition, the Camden County Cultural & Heritage Commission at Camden County College is pleased to announce plans for its 2021 Virtual Show, a virtual show plus an in-person exhibition component.

Because the state’s 2021 show will be virtual, the county will create a virtual gallery again this year for its contest and exhibition but will also provide gallery space for participating artists to display their submissions to the contest if they so desire. Artists do not have to submit artwork in person in order to participate in the contest and exhibition.

Here’s how it will work:
The link to the online submission form will be “live” beginning June 28, 2021. Artists must submit the form and high-quality digital photographs of their artwork by July 29, 2021. Approved submissions will be adjudicated and shared on the 2021 Virtual Senior Citizens Juried Art Contest & Exhibition website and social media pages starting on August 4, 2021.

Artists interested in displaying the work they submit will need to schedule a time to bring a copy of the online submission form and their piece to the William G. Rohrer Center, 1889 Rt. 70 East, Cherry Hill, NJ 08003 on one of the following times:

  • July 28, 2021, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
