My Career Advancement Account (MyCAA) Scholarship for Military Spouses

The My Career Advancement Account Scholarship is a workforce development program that provides eligible military spouses with up to $4,000 in financial assistance for licenses, certifications or associate degrees to pursue an occupation or career field.

The My Career Advancement Account Scholarship Program is open to spouses of active-duty service members, National Guard and reserve members in pay grades E-1 through E-5, W-1 through W-2, and O-1 through O-2.

Under the new law, military spouses will remain eligible for the financial assistance offered through the MyCAA scholarship if their sponsor is promoted above the eligible ranks so long as they already have an approved education and training plan in place.

You will need to:

  • Apply at Military One Source
  • Request the Office of Veteran Services to complete the MyCAA Program Template to include program costs
  • Once MyCAA receives the program template, they will provide you with an approval authorization.
  • Bring the approval authorization to the Office of Veteran Services.
