Camden County College is partnering with the Camden County Board of Commissioners, the Volunteer UP legal clinic, ARCHER Attorneys at Law and others to host a free expungement event at the Camden City Campus. The event will be held on January 15, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Room 202 of the Camden Technology Center, 601 Cooper Street, Camden.
“Too many people have been disproportionately impacted by the criminal justice system and their past are holding them back from creating a better future for themselves,” said Commissioner Jonathan Young. “And for many people, hiring an attorney to sort out legal issues is too expensive. So, this event breaks down those barriers and allows for our residents to find answers, make progress and work towards successful futures.”
Attendees can meet with an attorney, free of charge, to discuss getting their criminal records expunged.
“Camden County College is proud to join with our partners to offer this expungement clinic at our Camden City Campus,” said Dr. Lovell Pugh-Bassett, President of Camden County College. “We work to serve our community by removing obstacles, whether that is an obstacle to education, or to gainful employment and benefits that can all be sorted out through events such as this.”
Attorney time is limited. To be sure to speak to an attorney, register at:
