Louis Giaccardo went to work on the 87th floor of the World Trade Center’s South Tower on the morning of September 11, 2001. When the towers were struck, the Audubon native helped more than 40 people evacuate to safety, just 25 minutes before the towers collapsed. Louis shared his powerful story of resilience and courage at Camden County College’s commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the attacks.
“We were honored to have Mr. Giaccardo speak at Camden County College,” said Dr. Lovell Pugh-Bassett, President. “ His firsthand account of that tragic day, and his inspirational story of survival gave our community an opportunity to reflect, remember, and learn from his experience.”
The event was presented by the Center for Cultural Engagement at Camden County College.
