Variety is the Spice of Faculty Art Show at CCC's Marlin Gallery
The pieces featured in Camden County College’s 46th annual “Visual Arts Faculty and Staff Exhibition” range from savory to sweet, peppery to mild and bold to delicate, offering something to please everyone’s palette – no matter what flavor of art is preferred. Each of the participating employees is exhibiting new pieces that reflect his or her own tastes in the Marlin Gallery show.
Participating this year are Gregory Brellochs, David Gamber, Coy Gu, Frederick Herr, Kay A. Klotzbach, Deborah Marris, Debbie McCarthy, Laura Norcross, Ben Panter, Jessica Puma, Phil Rychert, Dressler Smith and M. Taguchi. Each shatters the adage that “those who can, do, and those who cannot, teach.” These professionals both do art and teach art – with impressive results.
“At Camden County College, the members of the Visual Arts Department are artists,” says gallery director Therese Marlin. “All have shown in local, regional or national galleries; many are represented by galleries in Philadelphia; and some have had or are scheduled to have one-person shows.
“Because of their dual status, CCC’s visual arts faculty and staff are not only able to help their students develop the skills and techniques to produce art, but also to demonstrate the self-determination and persistence it takes to show their art.”
“Visual Arts Faculty and Staff Exhibition 2012” is continuing through Dec. 14. Hours are 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays, with additional viewing hours available by appointment. Admission is free.
The Marlin Gallery is located inside Lincoln Hall on the College’s Blackwood Campus. The campus is at College Drive and Peter Cheeseman Road in Gloucester Township.
To schedule a viewing appointment or for further information, contact Marlin by telephone at (856) 227-7200, ext. 4201, or via e-mail at email@example.com.
