'Alternate Route' Info Session for County Police Academy at CCC Oct. 13
The Camden County College Police Academy has scheduled an information session on the Alternate Route Program for those interested in becoming police officers. The session will be conducted starting at 10 a.m. Oct. 13 on CCC’s Blackwood Campus.
The Alternate Route Program was designed to give individuals interested in becoming police officers the opportunity to attend a certified police training academy prior to being hired by a police, sheriff's or campus department. Successful applicants pay for their own academy training.
Applicants must pass the Basic Police Officer Test that is administered by the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police. Those who attend the information session may register for this written examination, which will be given in November, if they bring a money order for $75 made payable to “Camden County College Police Academy.”
The information session will be held in Civic Hall, which is inside the Connector Building on the Blackwood Campus. The campus is located at College Drive and Peter Cheeseman Road in Gloucester Township.
Proper attire is required.
For additional information about the session, interested applicants may contact the Camden County College Police Academy by telephone at (856) 374-4950.
