Elementary French I: FRE 101 OL (3 credits)
This is a distance learning course using the exact same materials as in the classroom. Besides a good computer you will need a workbook, textbook, audiotapes and videotape in order to do all the work online. The materials used are called: Débuts. This language course online teaches you the 4 required skills in a foreign language: reading, writing, listening and speaking as well as the culture of the language taught.
All assignments have due dates that need to be done online. The quizzes and tests are timed assessments done online during a particular time given (usually 3 days). There are forums in which you will have to participate.

This course also has several oral components you will actually call in through webstudy.
