Prospective Graduates
Graduation Requirements:
• Graduation packet filed and approved by the appropriate dean by April 1
• A minimum cumulative G.P.A. of 2.0
• Any outstanding College debts satisfied
Graduates:Your participation in the commencement ceremony is greatly encouraged, even though you may have already received your diploma. If you plan to participate, you are required to wear a cap and gown.Caps and gowns will be provided free of chargeas a courtesy of the Office of Student Life and Activities and are yours to keep.
Students can obtain their caps and gowns in several ways: (1) At Spring Fling, April 18 in Camden or April 24 in Blackwood, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (2) After Spring Fling, regalia can be picked up at the Blackwood or Camden City bookstores. (3) After April 25, William G. Rohrer students can order delivery of caps and gowns to the William G. Rohrer Center bookstore by completing a cap and gown order form. A College ID is required to receive a cap and gown at any location.
In addition to a cap and gown, graduates who are members of honor societies are permitted to wear ornamentation designated and approved for their specific honor society. Please check with your honor society advisor for the specific items that have been approved as commencement attire. Graduates may not decorate their caps with personal messages.
Diplomas: At the commencement ceremony, diploma sleeves will be distributed instead of diplomas. You will be notified via postcard when to come to the Office of Records and Registration to pick up your actual diploma (on or about August 15). Diploma covers and diploma frames will be available for sale in the College bookstores and at the commencement ceremony bookstore sales tent.

Commencement Announcements
Each graduate will receive four free graduation announcements. Additional announcements may be purchased for 50 cents each. These will be available from April 22 through May 10 at each campus location where caps and gowns are to be picked up.
Please note that these announcements are not required for admission to the commencement ceremony. There are no tickets for commencement, and graduates may have as many family members and friends in the audience as they desire.
Commencement Rehearsal

Transportation will be provided between the Camden and Blackwood campuses.
Van leaves College Hall, Camden Campus at 9:15 a.m.

Specialty Items
For your convenience, the bookstore will be open and will also establish a satellite location near the commencement tent from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on commencement day for the purchase of flowers, balloons and other memorabilia.

Graduation Pin
Pick up your Graduation Pin at the Barnes and Noble Bookstore for $8.00. The pin makes a great remembrance of your days at
Camden County College.
All proceeds will go to the Camden County College Foundation.
Commencement Rehearsal
Your attendance at rehearsal is strongly suggested. Rehearsal will be held Thursday, May 16 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Graduates will assemble in the Papiano Gymnasium. Please be prompt. Transportation to the rehearsal will be provided between the Camden City and Blackwood campuses. A van will depart from the Camden City Campus at 9:15 a.m. and return to the Camden City Campus upon completion of the rehearsal.
If a final exam prevents you from attending the commencement rehearsal, please arrive on campus by 8:30 a.m. on the day of commencement.
Alumni Trustee
Eligible academic year 2012-13 graduates (August 2012, January 2013, June 2013) may be considered for election to the College Board of Trustees as a non-voting member. The other criteria for alumni trustee selection include: demonstrated high academic achievement; active participation in College activities and in community service; willingness to carry out the responsibilities of serving on the Board of Trustees; and recommendation by a College faculty member or administrator. The alumni trustee serves a one-year term of office beginning in September of each year. At commencement rehearsal on Thursday, May 16, you will be asked to vote for a student who was nominated for this privilege. Candidate information, voting deadlines and voting instructions will be available on the College website.
Alumni Association
The CCC Alumni Association is a vital link between the College, its alumni and the community it serves. As you graduate, you join the ranks of more than 30,000 graduates who claim Camden County College as their alma mater. Membership in the alumni association is free and provides special benefits for its members. Graduate Stories
Camden County College will be sharing interesting information and statistics about the Class of 2013 with local print, electronic and online media. To help the Office of Media Relations with this task, please complete and submit the Graduating Student Questionnaire that is included in the graduation application packet.
Commencement Day Schedule
Commencement is a dignified occasion. We ask that those attending the ceremony conduct themselves in an appropriate manner. The College community appreciates your cooperation. We ask graduates to report to the Papiano Gymnasium.

Special Needs Seating
To assist individuals who require sign language interpreters, please contact Kathy Earp at (856) 227-7200. ext. 4255, or Cathy Poston at ext. 4506 in order to reserve a seat for themselves and one guest.Guests who use wheelchairs also may request special seating (for themselves and one other person) in advance. These requests must be made by calling Jackie Tenuto at (856) 374-5088 no later than May 13.
Viewing the Ceremony
No tickets are required. General, unreserved seating for guests of graduating students is available on a first-come, first-served basis under and surrounding the event tent. The ceremony also will be simulcast inside Civic Hall, located in the Connector Building.
Cell Phones
In keeping with the formality of this occasion, all cell phones and other similar devices should be silenced.
Food Service
The Connector Café, located in the Connector Building, will be open for business with coffee service and assorted pastries prior to and following the commencement ceremony.
Baby Changing
Stations are available in the Papiano Gymnasium and Otto R. Mauke Community Center restrooms.
Event Postponement
Commencement will be held under a large, weatherproof tent and will not be postponed due to inclement weather. However, should extreme circumstances arise that may cause a delay or postponement, a notice will be made to KYW 1060 AM by 8 a.m. on May 18.
