EMT TRAINING
The School offers Emergency Medical Technician-Basic training for those wishing to begin a career in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) or for firefighters, police officers and other emergency oriented professionals. This 150 hour course follows the national standard curriculum as promulgated by the Department of Transportation. All students will complete 10 hours of clinical training. Five (5) hours will be in an emergency department and five (5) hours will be a ride-along on a Virtua Health paramedic vehicle.

New Jersey now uses its own EMT certification exam and no longer utilizes the EMT certification exam as provided by the National Registry of EMT's. Students wishing to take the National Registry exam will be assisted by the course coordinator in the process for registration.

Students who successfully complete the training will be awarded five (5) college credits by Camden County College.
