Disability Services
Disability Services is the support service for
students with disabilities at Camden County College.
Established in 1988, Disability Services has assisted hundreds of students
with services, including course advisement, academic
counseling, tutoring, and program accommodations. Adaptive
technology is available in the Disability Services office for students
needing additional assistance in their classes. The
Disability Services Office also sponsors a summer-orientation program,
College Success classes, and selected "bridge sections"
of developmental and college-level courses. Disability Services is
a practical, down-to-earth program that aims to help
students become self-sufficient advocates for their
own needs and rights. As a support service, it is a
self-help program that emphasizes student rights and
responsibilities, and at the same time safeguards the
academic integrity and standards of college courses
and programs.
