Check out the NEW Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Treatment Program (PRT.AS)
This joint degree program with the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) allows you to take advantage of Camden County College courses for your general education requirements and then UMDNJ for the professional courses to complete the 62 credit program.  Graduates are prepared for entry-level jobs working with people who have severe mental illness, such as residential programs, outreach programs, psychiatric hospitals, mental health agencies, rehabilitation centers, and public and private schools.  In the professional phase of the program, students gain hands-on practice with basic skills for counseling, leading groups, and working directly with people with emotional and behavioral difficulties.  For more information, call Annette Backs, the UMDNJ coordinator, at 856-566-6233 or Fatemah Sedighi, the Camden County College chairperson for Dept. of Human Services, at 856-227-7200, ext. 4535, fsedighi@camdencc.edu.
