A
Unique Opportunity
The
Camden County College Honors Program is an exciting college-wide
program that is open to students pursuing an Associate Degree
in any major. The program includes Honors sections of general
education courses that are already required of all AA, AS
and AAS degrees.
In order
to complete the Honors Program, students are required to take
four of their general education courses in designated Honors
sections, and must participate in a minimum of three community
service or cultural events.
The Honors
courses are small, seminar-style classes which allow for unique
student/faculty collaboration, and they have interesting themes
and projects that are different from the usual introductory
classes.
The
Student Experience
As an Honors student, you will be part of a supportive but
rigorous academic community, and there will be special social
and academic events just for your group. There are also several
scholarships that have been created exclusively for Honors
Program Students. All of this will help you to make the most
of your experience at CCC and to be better prepared for the
process of transfer to a four-year college or university.
Eligibility
NJSTAR students who score well enough on the Accuplacer exam
are invited to participate directly out of high school. AP
students or students already enrolled at CCC in any associate
degree program will be invited to apply as long as they have
completed at least 12 college credits and have earned an overall
grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
