Eligible Program (generally, this is a program that is not offered by

instructions regarding chargeback.
How much does is the cost per credit?
Tuition is currently $93 per credit for Camden County residents, $97 per
credit for Out of County and Out of State residents, and $167 per credit

fees associated with specific courses. Click here for a detailed worksheet of tuition and fees.
**Tuition and fees are subject to change without notice.
What is the
"General Service" fee?
The general service fee $25 per credit. This fee covers your student I.D.,
parking decal, use of the library, computer labs and other facilities.
Also, an ever-increasing portion of this fee is dedicated towards building

only keep pace with technology, but also expand upon it.
What is the "Facilities" fee?
The facilities fee is $2 per credit. This fee covers teh construction of new facilities on campus.
Why do I pay
a lab fee when my course does not have a lab?

of our computer labs, or are taught in a computerized environment. Physical

help cover the cost of equipment utilized in the various classes. All
online courses have a minimum of a $25 lab fee.

What should
I do if I applied for Financial Aid?
The Financial Aid priority-mailing deadline for the spring semester is
September 1 and the fall semester deadline is May 1. All documentation
must be submitted by this deadline. Other completed applications will
be reviewed as efficiently as possible.
What is the
deadline for applying for financial aid?
Your file must be complete by July 1st for the Fall semester and October
1st for the Spring semester to be processed as a priority application.
For a file to be complete, you must have had your FAFSA processed by the
Department of Education and the results received by the College. You should
also submit the College's Data form and any documentation the Department
of Education requires of you. Priority applications will be processed
prior to the start of the semester. However, as long as we have received
your processed financial aid application before the end of the semester,
we will review your eligibility.
What happens
next?
Approximately 3 to 4 weeks after you have completed your FAFSA, you should
receive your Student Aid Report (also known as the SAR) from the Department
of Education. The school receives the same information electronically.
We will inform you of the status of your application and tell you if we
need any additional documentation. Once your file is complete, if you
are eligible for aid you should receive an award letter within 2 to 4
weeks.
How do I go about buying books for my classes?
If you have been awarded by the College's Financial Aid Office and
you have pre-registered for the semester and you have
a credit balance, you may report to the Bookstore the week before classes
begin and you will be able to charge books and supplies against your financial
aid award. Otherwise you must come in to the Financial Aid Office and
if you qualify a bookstore authorization form will be issued to you. You
then take the authorization form to the bookstore with a valid College
ID card and the bookstore will set up an account for you. What you spend
in the bookstore will be deducted from your award after tuition and fees
and before stipends.
If I have
applied for a student loan will my bill be covered?
Yes, if the Financial Aid Office received your loan application and other
paperwork prior to the start of the semester, and you qualify for the
loan, you will be able to defer tuition payment until your loan check
arrives. Also, first time borrowers must complete an entrance interview
prior to receiving any loan proceeds. You can expedite your process by
performing your interview on-line at Educaid.com.
Can I get
credit in the bookstore with a student loan?
If you applied for a loan prior to the start of the class and you qualify,
the Financial Aid Office will issue a voucher for the bookstore until
your loan check is received from your lender.
I would like
to register under the Unemployed Persons' Tuition Waiver program or the
National Guard Tuition Waiver program?
Before registering, bring to the Financial Aid Office: (1) a letter from
your Commander or a NJ Job Service certification form and

be eligible to register under the Unemployed Persons' Tuition Waiver Program.
You need to obtain a NJ Job Certification form from your unemployment

College Placement Test
What
placement test does the College use?
The
ACCUPLACER Online placement test.
Why am I being asked to take this test?
The test results help determine which classes will meet your academic needs.
If I am taking the test to qualify for financial aid, what are the testing
policies?
(for students who do not have a high school diploma or GED)
In order to meet the Ability to Benefit (ATB) regulations governing the
federal financial aid programs, you must meet or exceed the minimum scores
on each of the three sections of the test in one testing session. If you
do not pass in any one of the three sections, you must retake the entire
test. Within any three-month period, ATB candidates are permitted to take
an initial test and one retest. There must be a two-week waiting period
betweeen the initial test and the retest.
Is there a fee for this test?
The test is free. However, charges may be assessed after the second request
for retesting. Students who wish to retest must obtain a referral from
an Advisor.
How long is the test?
The test is untimed. You should allow approximately 2 ½ hours to
complete the entire test.
How do I prepare for the test?
The college placement test section
has links to sample tests and a description of the test.
What do I need to bring for the test?
Please bring a photo ID and a pen and/or pencil. Also, make sure you have the student ID# that was assigned to you after submitting your admission application.
Suppose I don't do well on the test?
Don't worry! A counselor will interpret the results of the test and determine
which English and Math courses you are prepared to take. If you are not
ready for college level courses, you will be scheduled into developmental
courses to raise your skill level.
.
What if I have a bad day when I take the test?
If you know you're having a bad day, re-schedule and take the test another
day.
How do I find out my results?
DO NOT TELEPHONE FOR SCORES. After testing, you will receive a print out with the number for Advising. After 7 working days, you may make arrangements
to meet with an advisor who will give you your placement test results
and will discuss your next steps. Because of the confidential nature of
test scores, we are unable to release scores over the phone.
