Program Description
The program is designed to help students demonstrate beginning competencies in speech and theatre. The program focuses on the performance aspects of theatre and on the technical aspects of set and scenery design, construction, stage management, and directing.

Program Information
This program:
• Enables students to gain presence, confidence and poise
• Enables students to develop their voices and creativity
• Prepares students for transfer into a BA or BFA program at a four-year institution
• Teaches the business of the theatre through hands-on opportunities
• Prepares students for producing student one-act plays
• Prepares students to produce a range of plays from Shakespeare to children’s plays
