PARAMEDIC
DAY PROGRAM
In
the first semester classes meet once weekly for seven hours
per day.
In
the second semester classes meet two (2) days a week, one
day for seven hours the second day for 3.5 hours.
An additional one (1) to two (2) days per week are added
in the third week for in-hospital clinical practice.
The
third semester is strictly in-hospital clinical time up
to three (3) days per week.
In
the fourth semester students return to class for two (2)
days per week. One (1) to two (2) days per week are added
in the third week of the semester for clinical practice.
The
fifth and sixth semesters are clinical training in the field
with the paramedic units. Students can expect to ride
two (2) to three (3) days per week, 12 hours per day.
Human
biology is the minimum co-requisite science course that
must be taken in the first semester.
