What are health careers?
The term "health careers " describes a large cluster of health-related personnel who fulfill necessary roles in the health care system, including assisting, facilitating and complementing the work of health care specialists. Many of these professions and occupations have developed in response to advances in technology and science.

Health career education programs are offered at a variety of post-secondary institutions, ranging from hospitals to community colleges and academic health centers. The common mission of all programs is the goal to meet national outcome standards established by the profession.
