Welcome
Camden
County College recognizes the importance of the development of both the
mind and the body and provides the opportunity for students to compete
in intercollegiate athletics. A variety of athletic activities for the
experienced competitor as well as the casual participant seeking self-directed
physical activity are offered. Varsity teams for both men and women compete
against other two year college teams in the New Jersey Garden State Athletic
Conference and Region XIX of the National Junior College Athletic Association.
Men compete in soccer, golf, basketball, and baseball. Women compete in
soccer, basketball, and softball. Students are encouraged to take advantage
of College athletic facilities, including an all-weather, quarter-mile
track; an athletic center with a weight and fitness room, basketball/volleyball
courts and various outdoor playing fields. An up-to-date listing of the
availability of facilities and calendar of activities is posted in the
Athletic Office in the Joseph Papiano Memorial Gymnasium.
The
Student/Athlete
Camden County College recognizes that the commitment made by a student
to participate in intercollegiate athletics is a substantial one. Our
goal at Camden County College is to offer a quality program that ensures
an athlete's success not only on the playing field, but also in the classroom.
Advising services, tutoring assistance, schedule building, and transfer
options are just a few of the many important support services we use to
assist in this process.
