Community Partners
Partnerships with community-related organizations are critical to the success of Camden County College's City Campus. We have established partnerships in a range of areas by providing and monitor student internships and work study placement; providing workshops and intensive specialized training opportunities; participating in developing cultural activities; but in all cases our partnerships are aimed at enriching the lives of our students and residents of the City of Camden.
Gateway Community Centers
One of the most important programs of the City campus is the Community Gateway project. This is an investment in the City's human capital, and the first critical step in building the middle class in Camden. This community collaboration provides a new way of delivering literacy and employment preparation training services to Camden residents. Church and community partners provide classroom space and play a key role in recruitment and retention of students by partnering with the College to establish community-based literacy centers.
