In this workshop, attendees will discuss current evidence-based practices (EBPS) for students with autism/autistic in grades K-12classrooms. Sample student profiles will guide interactive discussions of when and how an EBP might be implemented in the classroom. Additionally, first person perspectives will be incorporated throughout the workshop to better understand how students with autism may respond to evidence-based practices rooted in behaviorism, and some of the alternatives recommended for educational professionals by autistic advocates. This workshop will focus on meaningful hands-on strategies for classroom application.
