 Transfer Basics:

1.  Select a Camden County College associate degree that prepares you to transfer into your major at the four-year college or university.  (Generally, the AA and AS degree programs at Camden County College provide the best transferability.)

2.  Begin thinking about where you may wish to transfer, and what area of study you would like to earn a Bachelor's degree. 

 

3.  Stay involved in the decision making process.  Ultimately, only you can decide where you would like to transfer, and for what major. 

 

4.  Begin researching degree and entrance requirements as early as possible, so you are clear of what the expectations are.

 

5.  Pay close attention to the degree requirements of the program that you are interested in.

 

6.  Take your classes seriously...your GPA is VERY important!

 

7.  Understand and fulfill the admission requirements for the colleges you want to apply to

 

8.  Use available resources to assist you in making the best course selection choices at Camden County College to maximize transferability to Bachelor's degree program.

Academic Advisors:  Plan your academic program with an advisor to select the best program of study at Camden County College to meet your academic goals.  Advisors will assist you in selecting courses that both meet the graduation requirements at Camden County College, while at the same time achieving the maximum number of transfer credits. It is important that you discuss your plans about transfer with advisors early on in the process.

Requesting an Official Camden County College Transcript

Students enrolled since January 2001 may request an official transcript online using the WebAdvisor "Transcript Request" feature.  If you do not wish to make the request electronically, then it must be made in writing. You may visit one of our three campuses and complete a transcript request form  or submit a request in writing via the mail.  You can print a transcript request form or send a letter.  The letter should include your name, signature, and social security number or Colleague ID number.  You should indicate the name and address of where you would like the transcript sent.  There is a fee of $5.00 per transcript, which can be paid online using a credit card or must be included with your written request.
