Testing Center

The Testing Center offers a variety of services which include the following:


  • Accuplacer Placement Testing
  • Career Assessment Tools (Strong Interest Inventory)
  • NJ State-Issued High School Diploma
  • Make-up and Distance Testing
  • CLEP/DSST/Prior Learning Testing
  • Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS V)
  • English Composition Testing


This site also has information about Advanced Placement (AP) tests including how credit is awarded for passing the final AP exams and the testing fees.

NOTE: All testing services require students to present a current/valid photo ID before testing.

Since most full time and part time students are required to take the placement test before enrolling in classes, we have included that information below as well as linked from the navigation bar on the right.

EdReady is here! Prepare for the Math portion of the College Placement Test using EdReady! Before you take the placement test, and you wish to prepare at home, you may do the following through the EdReady Assessment Tool, free of charge.

Placement Testing

The Placement test (Accuplacer) is designed to measure skills in English and Math. The results of the test will help you and your advisor determine which courses are most appropriate for your current level of knowledge and skills in reading, writing and math.


All prospective students should review the sample tests and the test description. There are also some additional links that are provided below that will sharpen your skills and prepare you for the test:

Students who would like to purchase an online interactive practice test/study app may do so by going to the site listed below. This site is compatible with iPhone, iPod and iPad.

This site provides information about basic math, algebra, study skills, math anxiety and learning styles. It was created by a professor in CCC’s Academic Skills Math Department, and many students have found this site to be fun and extremely helpful.
