With nearly 16,000 credit students per semester, Camden County College is one of the three largest community colleges in New Jersey and ranks among the top 100 nationwide in terms of associate’s degree graduates. Thanks to its technology-rich physical resources – located on campuses in Blackwood, Camden and Cherry Hill – and its highly-qualified, dedicated employees, the College has created a tradition of quality education and a reputation of agile, responsive service. Among the professionals who make up the College’s faculty, staff and administration are dozens of experts in wide range of fields. Many have experience serving as sources for media pieces and are comfortable completing both deadline and feature interviews.

● Dr. Raymond Yannuzzi, president

Also studied at Oxford University in England

Yannuzzi leads the Collegiate Consortium for Workforce and Economic Development and serves on the New Jersey Commission on Italian and Americans of Italian Heritage Cultural and Education Programs. He has held administrative and instructional posts at community colleges in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Ohio throughout the last four decades and can speak extensively about the mission of two-year institutions of higher education.

● Louis S. Bezich, vice president for administrative services

Bachelor of Arts, University of Tampa
Master of Public Policy, Rutgers University

Bezich has been a member of the Urban Land Institute, New Jersey Future and the Congress of New Urbanism and currently leads the Camden Higher Education and Healthcare Task Force. He also is president of the Camden County Technical School District Board of Education and was a longtime council president for the Boy Scouts of America. His service has allowed him to develop an extensive knowledge regarding issues in public policy, financial management, economic development and land use.

● Dr. John L. Pesda, professor of history and political science as well as coordinator of the College’s Center for Civic Leadership and Responsibility

Pesda serves on the New Jersey Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission. He is a past member of the Lower Camden County Regional School District Board of Education and is the former host of Suburban Cable’s “South Jersey Headlines” program. In addition to giving community presentations on cultural subjects, he is a frequent media commentator on topics pertaining to government, politics, education, economics and women’s issue.

● Jennifer Hoheisel, professor of history and philosophy as well as coordinator of the College’s Honors Program.

Master of Arts, Georgetown University

Hoheisel serves on the board of Parents of Autistic Children Together and on the Coriell Institute for Medical Research’s Informed Cohort Oversight Board and is a past member of the Oaklyn School Board. Her areas of expertise include autism, medical ethics and liberal arts education.

● Phyllis Owens, professor of computer graphics as well as creator of the College’s – and the nation’s first – associate’s degree in video game design and development.

Owens was named 2005 New Jersey Professor of the Year by the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education and The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching. She has been a MentorLinks Program advisor for faculty at the University of New Mexico and community colleges nationwide. Locally, she has served on the executive board of the Hopeworks ’N Camden low-income minority youth mentor program and worked to help senior citizens develop their computer skills.
