Camden County College Offering Free Help with Financial Aid Forms
Many college students depend on grants, loans and need-based scholarships to fund their college or university studies. To receive most of these, students must complete the often-confusing financial aid application process and file the complex Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form.
To help current and future college students file their financial aid paperwork for the 2014-15 term, Camden County College is offering FAFSA Days on three of its campus locations during February.
Each FAFSA Day will make the aid process smoother and help relieve much of the anxiety about paying for college, which is particularly important amid today’s challenging economic conditions. During the event, free FAFSA advice and instructions will be given to anyone who requires them. Special attention will be given to the concerns of low-income and first-generation college students.
CCC’s FAFSA Days are scheduled:
-- Feb. 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the William G. Rohrer Center, Route 70 and Springdale Road, Cherry Hill.
-- Feb. 20 from 4 to 8 p.m. in Room 112 of the library on the Blackwood Campus, College Drive and Peter Cheeseman Road, Gloucester Township.
-- Feb. 25 from 5 to 8 p.m., Room 204 of the Camden Technology Center on the Camden City Campus, 200 N. Broadway, Camden.
When created almost a decade ago, FAFSA Day took place only on a Sunday, which was known as College Goal Sunday.
