Information Sessions Set for Rutgers-CCC Nursing Degree Program

The first students in the new Rutgers at Camden County – Blackwood program that leads to a bachelor of science degree in nursing will begin their studies in Summer 2013. The first step to becoming one of these students is to attend an information session for the program.

The Rutgers at Camden County – Blackwood program is the same pre-licensure baccalaureate program that the Rutgers University College of Nursing, New Brunswick and Newark, offers in North Jersey. It will be offered on CCC’s Blackwood Campus, and it is open to students who have earned an associate of science degree or an equivalent number of credits from CCC.

The information sessions will provide prospective applicants with the opportunity to learn more about admissions requirements, deadlines and campus services. The Rutgers admissions staff and faculty who will be on hand also will be able to answer any questions attendees might have.

The first two Rutgers at Camden County – Blackwood information sessions have been scheduled for Dec. 12. An afternoon session will be conducted from 2 to 4 p.m. in Civic Hall of the Connector Building, which is located on the Blackwood Campus at College Drive and Peter Cheeseman Road in Gloucester Township. An evening session will be conducted from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Executive Conference Room of CCC’s William G. Rohrer Center, which is located at Route 70 and Springdale Road in Cherry Hill Township.

Additional information sessions for the Rutgers at Camden County – Blackwood program will be scheduled in the coming months. Prospective applicants also may speak to CCC nursing program advisors, who are available on a walk-in basis at the Blackwood Campus Advisement Center, which is located in Room 100 of the Otto R. Mauke College Community Center, from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Fridays.
