Mummers String Band Champs Playing Free Outdoor Concert at CCC

The Woodland String Band – this year’s Mummers Parade champions – will play a free concert “under the stars” on the Blackwood Campus of Camden County College starting at 8 p.m. June 29.

Woodland, which operates out of Third Street in Philadelphia, won the string band division of the 2012 Mummers Parade for the first time in its 86-year history. The club’s winning performance was titled “It’s a Jungle Out There,” and it featured selections such as “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” and “Welcome to the Jungle.”
