CCC to Honor Jack and Barbara Tarditi with Civic Leadership Award
The Camden County College Foundation and CCC’s Center for Civic Leadership and Responsibility have selected community service and fundraising leaders Jack and Barbara Tarditi to receive the 2012 Camden County College Civic Leadership Award.
The Tarditis will be honored for the depth and breadth of their charitable contributions with an award reception on March 14 in Lincoln Hall on CCC’s Blackwood Campus, which is located at College Drive and Peter Cheeseman Road in Gloucester Township. The reception will begin at 6 p.m. and precede a show by a Tony Award-nominated comedian, actor and musician.
Mr. and Mrs. Tarditi – who are the former mayor and first lady of Haddonfield – have spent their four decades as husband and wife engaged in personal, professional and philanthropic giving. The couple has devoted countless hours and resources to local government, the business community and numerous nonprofit bodies and made the act of raising money for charity one of their most common pastimes.
The Tarditis have run various fundraising events and even established their own charitable fund to support initiatives enacted by arts, community, cultural, education, healthcare, quality-of-life, women’s welfare and other entities. They also have served on many boards and provided leadership throughout Camden County and South Jersey.
The value of their donations of time, expertise and money previously has been acknowledged formally by a number of area organizations. These include the American Red Cross, the Haddonfield Foundation, Bancroft Neurohealth and the Ingerman Group.
Individual tickets to the fourth annual Civic Leadership Award event cost $125 and include reception admission and preferred seating to the stand-up comedy performance. A ticket for the reception only is $100. A portion of the ticket price – $40 – is tax-deductible.
