CCC Music Department Presenting Instrumental, Vocal Concerts
Protest, farewell and affection will be among the feelings tunefully expressed as Camden County College’s Music Department presents a trio of free student concerts to conclude the Fall 2011 semester.
All three events will take place in Dennis Flyer Memorial Theater, which is located inside Lincoln Hall on the College’s Blackwood Campus. The campus is at College Drive and Peter Cheeseman Road in Gloucester Township.
Admission to each concert is free.
●7:30 p.m. Dec. 12: Camden County College Jazz and Rock Ensembles concert titled “Songs of Protest.” This performance will feature songs made famous by artists such as Bob Dylan, Billie Holiday, Billy Joel, Bob Marley and Twisted Sister.
● 7:30 p.m. Dec. 13: Camden County College Music Major Recital. Graduating music majors will perform pieces in a variety of genres as part of their final recitals.
● 7:30 p.m. Dec. 14: Camden County College Choir concert titled “Songs of Love.” This show will include vocal compositions in many genres and from many periods, from gospel to pop and from the Renaissance to contemporary times, all focusing on love.
