YOU’VE GOT EMAIL…
A WINDOWS LIVE (Hot Mail) ACCOUNT !

All Camden County College credit students are provided with a Windows Live Mail account.  Windows Live Mail is a newer, enhanced version of Microsoft’s Hot Mail that provides students with a web based email client, 2GB of storage space, and an email account for life!

We anticipate Windows Live Mail to be made fully available by Microsoft this spring. While Microsoft is readying its Windows Live Mail environment, you will be provided a Microsoft Hot Mail account with 250MB of storage space.

Student email addresses will follow the format of:

firstname.lastname@students.camdencc.edu
Example: jane.smith@students.camdencc.edu

Please Note – Students with identical names will have a number added to their email name for this account.  You can contact the Student Technology Help Desk to determine if this is the case.

Student email passwords will be originally set to your 6 digit date of birth.  For example, if you were born on June 6, 1981, your password is 060681.

When you login into your email account for the first time, you will be prompted to change your password.  In addition you will be asked to add information for self resetting your password, review and sign Microsoft agreements, and select additional MSN services.  It is important to complete the “Add the secret answer and alternative email address” page, in order for you to self test your email password.

In order to keep your Hot Mail account active, you will need to log in within 10 days of initializing the account and then once every 30 days.  Your email account will remain available to you until there are 2 semesters of inactivity on your account.
