LIBERAL ARTS AND SCIENCE
Social Science Concentration
Degree: Associate in Arts
College Code: SOC.AA
Program Description
Concentrations provide depth of understanding of a particular
area of knowledge. Students may explore a Social Science
Concentration in preparation for transfer to a variety of majors
including Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, and Economics.
Program Information
The Liberal Arts and Science Curriculum is Camden County
College’s largest and most successful transfer curriculum. The
requirements among broad knowledge areas provide a breadth
of understanding expected of individuals in the new millennium.
Adding to its appeal is the concentration opportunities available
in a number of knowledge areas. Although not specifically
arranged as a discipline major, the concentrations offer students
a wide range of choice in pursuing an area of knowledge in
depth.
Special Program Information
As soon as possible, students are recommended to access
curriculum requirements of possible transfer institutions. For
students aspiring to major in disciplines related to the
concentration area, their specific choices from the list of courses
under each concentration should mirror as closely as possible
required courses in the first two years of the major at the desired
four-year college or university.
