Raymond J. DiDonato
Ray served as Program Coordinator from 1976-1999, and holds the
rank of Assistant Professor. He teaches Ophthalmic Materials Lecture
and Lab courses, as well as Ophthalmic Office Procedures. He has
an A.A.S. in Ophthalmic Science from Camden County College, and
a B.A in Education from Rowan University. Mr. DiDonato is a Fellow
of the National Academy of Opticianry (NAO), certified by the American
Board of Opticianry (ABO), and a past board member of the Commission
on Opticianry Accreditation (COA) and the National Federation of
Opticianry Schools (NFOS). He is a licensed optician in New Jersey.

Patrick B. Goughary
Patrick is a full time instructor teaching courses in contact lens
fitting, anatomy of the eye, and optics. He has an A.A.S. in Ophthalmic
Dispensing from Erie Community College, a B.S. in Liberal Studies
from the State University of New York, and a M.A. in English from
Rutgers University. He is a licensed optician in New Jersey and
New York, designated a Master in Ophthalmic Optics by the American
Board of Opticianry (ABO), certified by the National Contact Lens
Examiners (NCLE), and an Honored Fellow of the Contact Lens Society
of America (CLSA). Publications include the CLSA's Contact Lens
Manual, and a regular column in EyeWitness magazine.

Nancy Don
Nancy is Director of the Clinical Dispensary. She has an A.A.S.
in Ophthalmic Science from Camden County College, and is a licensed
optician in New Jersey. She is also certified by the American Board
of Opticianry (ABO). Nancy administers the optical dispensary that
serves the entire college community, and the cooperative education
courses that provide hands-on training to students. She also teaches
the ophthalmic dispensary lab courses. |

Basil Blair
Mr. Blair has over fifty years of experience in the optical field.
He is a Master Optician, licensed in New Jersey, and a member of
the Hall of Fame of the NAO. Bus has owned and operated his own
retail optical office in Philadelphia, taught in the Ophthalmic
Science Program almost since its inception, and pioneered the process
of ancyclo edge treatment of ophthalmic lenses. Since retiring from
Benson Optical in 1995, he has offered his services to the ophthalmic
community at large as a consultant and troubleshooter. These services
include the design and fitting of specialized eyewear devices such
as moisture chambers, ptosis crutches, plexiglas eye patches, heminopsia
mirrors, aniseikonic lenses, myodiscs, and handmade custom frames.
He is co-author of Opticianry, Ocularistry and Ophthalmic Technology. |

Giovanni Passamonti
John is a licensed optician in New Jersey. He has an A.A.S. degree
in Ophthalmic Science from Camden County College. He graduated in
1980, and is on the permanent President's List. John has been teaching
dispensing and materials labs since 1987. |

Sheryl Friedman
Sheryl is pleased to be teaching as a Lab Assistant in the Ophthalmic
Science Department. She has served on the Ophthalmic Advisory Board
since 1994, and has recently become an Honored Member of the Opticians
Association of America (OAA). She was the winner of the 1994 National
Varilux Competition for authoring a children's book about spectacle
correction, which has since been approved for copyright. Sheryl
holds a B.A. from Beaver College, and an A.A.S. from Camden County
College. She is married with three children. |

Craig Dyer
Craig currently teaches the dispensing lecture classes. He has an
A.A.S. in Ophthalmic Science from Camden County College. He is a
New Jersey licensed optician, and board certified by the ABO. Craig
is an adjunct faculty member, currently working in the field for
a large retail optical corporation. |

Lloyd King
Lloyd is a past graduate of the Ophthalmic Science Program, currently
teaching Ophthalmic Office Procedures. He is the manager of a retail
optical store. Lloyd has an extensive background in sales and management,
and an advanced degree from LaSalle University. |

Robert Shappell
Robert is a licensed optician in New Jersey, and is certified by
the American Board of Opticianry. He has an A.A.S. in Ophthalmic
Science Technology from Camden County College, where he is a member
of the Permanent Dean's List. Rob teaches the Ophthalmic Materials
Lab courses. |
