1. Students should apply to
Camden County College as a Liberal Arts & Science: Science Option/Pre-Nursing
major (code PRN.AS). You may apply on-line at www.camdencc.edu. A separate application is
required for the schools of nursing (see #6). Any other major wishing
to change to pre-nursing should obtain a Change of Curriculum form from
the Registrar's office located in Wilson Center.
2. The College
Placement Test is required of all students. However, there are some
students who may be exempt. For example, students who:

from the testing center.
General
Information regarding Placement Testing
Available on our Testing and Assessment Web
page:

Approximately a week after testing, students may access web advisor and
see their Placement on the web transcript. At this time they should contact
the Advisement Office to make arrangements to meet with an advisor. Advisement
during the summer is done on a walk-in basis and the hours are Monday
through Thursday 8:30 am to 11:30 am and 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm

choice one year prior to their anticipated start date. If you meet the
basic admission requirements, (see below) you may choose to apply right
away or take some college courses listed in the nursing curriculum (see
attached colored sheets). PLEASE NOTE: You do NOT need to complete the
pre-nursing track if you are planning to attend one of the Schools in
the Cooperative-as a pre-nursing student you may follow the curriculum
for either school of nursing.

b. high school biology* with a "C" or better
c. high school chemistry* with a "C" or better

4. a. Transfer students who have completed courses at another college
should first have their transcript(s) sent to Camden County College
Records and Registration for evaluation. Please note: this step will expedite
the process of applying to nursing school. Transfer students must write
to the college previously attended and request that an official transcript
be sent to:
Camden County College

Note: Only classes with a grade "C" or better will transfer. Students
are encouraged to request a "student copy" when requesting official transcripts
for their own records. Each school of nursing to which the student applies
will also require an official copy of transcripts, including high school
or GED results. Transcripts are not shared between the College or the
Schools of nursing.
5. International
Students
Any student who does not have prior college credits must take the ESL
basic skills exam for foreign students and should contact Kristy Radetzky,
(ext. 4568), or Jesse Orlando (x4539), international student advisor,
for advisement.
Students
educated overseas must have their transcript(s) evaluated by the World

Registration for evaluation.
