Introduction
The
hospitality industry, including hotels, food service establishments,
lodging, meeting venues and resorts, is growing faster than
most other industries. The four Hospitality Technology
Certificates prepare graduates for entry-level management
positions in many facets of this dynamic profession.
Hospitality
Technicians work in many interesting places, such as Cruse
Ships. Casinos, Corporate Offices, hotels, restaurants and
other food service venues.

Goals
Upon completion of required coursework, graduates will:
- Demonstrate
leadership, citizenship and teamwork skills required for
success in the school, community and the hospitality industry.
- Detail
the nature and scope of the hospitality industry, including
culinary arts, lodging, travel and tourism.
- Analyze
career paths within the hospitality industry.
- Apply
concepts of communication, human relations and interpersonal
skills to meet consumer expectations.
- Assess
the impact of the hospitality industry on local, state,
national and global communities.
- Explain
the importance of ethical, legal and governmental considerations
in the hospitality industry.
