This curriculum will prepare graduates for employment as health information technicians.  Entry-level health information technicians may be employed in a variety of settings and they may assume a variety of job titles depending on their education, work experience and place of employment.

These curricula will prepare graduates for employment as cancer registrars. Cancer registrars are involved in research, quality management, cancer prevention and surveillance data compilation, survival data compilation, and evaluation of treatment methods. Cancer registrars are employed in acute care facilities and departments of health.

Certificate Program

What is a Medical Coder?

This certificate prepares individuals to work in all aspects of medical and surgical coding.  Medical coders are responsible for analyzing medical documentation and applying coding guidelines for reimbursement.  Medical coders are professionals who work closely with clinical staff and other allied health professionals.
