Mini-Courses FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)
Do I have to be an educator to attend these courses?
No, these free courses are open to the public as well as educators.
Must I attend all of the 5 sessions in a mini-course or can I pick and choose which sessions I would like to attend?
Once you register for a mini-course you may come to any or all of the sessions.
Must I register in advance or can I show up the evening of an event?
We strongly recommend registering in advance. You may register the night of the event, but advance registration allows us to notify you if a course has been canceled due to low enrollment or if there are any changes in room assignment, etc.
How will I know if a course has been canceled due to lack of enrollment?
We will attempt to email or call you as soon as possible. If we are unable to reach you, a sign will be posted on the door of the classroom.
I am an educator and would like to receive credit for my attendance. What do I need to do?
Indicate on the registration form that you are an educator and list your school district. You will receive a certificate at the end of each session you attend.
How many professional development credits can I receive?
Each mini-course is comprised of five sessions, earning 3 credits per session. If you attend all five, you will receive fifteen credit hours for that course, but you may choose to attend only specific sessions and receive 3 credits for each.
