Career Center

The Career Center assists currently enrolled students, as well as alumni, with developing, evaluating and implementing career and employment search strategies. These services include: market projections, resume preparations, mock interviews, job / intern searches, and recruitment opportunities that will assist new job seekers as well as those returning to the workforce. The Career Center is committed to providing students with current, comprehensive information along with the skills and techniques necessary to compete and succeed in any job market.

Camden County College’s FREE 10 week/ 2 credit Skills to Succeed Course instructs students in the vital soft skills needed to develop and maintain a successful career. This course is a critical enhancement to a college education. During this course you will identify or confirm your career pursuit. You will network with local business leaders who will assist you in your professional development. 


The College Experience Course, coming in the Fall 2015 Semester, has the following curriculum: 


•Distinguish between work and a career 

•Active Listening 

•Understand the purpose of an effective resume and cover letter 

•Develop an elevator speech and present yourself in a time- efficient manner 

•Understand different methods of reasoning and problem solving 

•Develop the diversity skills that are necessary to compete in the 21 Century Global Economy

•Entrepreneurship skills 

•Creative thinking skills 

•Resume and cover letter writing skills 

•Interview skills 

•Leadership training and experience 

•Mentorship from the local business community 

•Establishing a network 


The advance critical thinking skills that you develop in this course will enhance your performance in any professional endeavor. You will be armed with the ability to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to enter and retain a chosen career.
