- Description: “The History of Rock ’n’ Roll” is part of a 6-week series of free programs entitled “America’s Music: A Film History of Our Popular Music from Blues to Bluegrass to Broadway.” The programs were created by the Tribeca Film Institute in partnership with the American Library Association, the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Society for American Music. Each program includes a live musical performance (begins at 6:00 PM), a film (begins at 7:00 PM), and a discussion with CCC music scholars (begins after the films).
