Patrick B. GougharyPatrick is a full time instructor teaching courses in contact lens fitting, anatomy of the eye, and optics. He has an A.A.S. in Ophthalmic Dispensing from Erie Community College, a B.S. in Liberal Studies from the State University of New York, and a M.A. in English from Rutgers University. He is a licensed optician in New Jersey and New York, designated a Master in Ophthalmic Optics by the American Board of Opticianry (ABO), certified by the National Contact Lens Examiners (NCLE), and an Honored Fellow of the Contact Lens Society of America (CLSA). Publications include the CLSA's Contact Lens Manual, and a regular column in EyeWitness magazine.
Nancy is Director of the Clinical Dispensary. She has an A.A.S. in Ophthalmic Science from Camden County College, and is a licensed optician in New Jersey. She is also certified by the American Board of Opticianry (ABO). Nancy administers the optical dispensary that serves the entire college community, and the cooperative education courses that provide hands-on training to students. She also teaches the ophthalmic dispensary lab courses.
John is a licensed optician in New Jersey. He has an A.A.S. degree in Ophthalmic Science from Camden County College. He graduated in 1980, and is on the permanent President's List. John has been teaching dispensing and materials labs since 1987.
Sheryl is pleased to be teaching as a Lab Assistant in the Ophthalmic Science Department. She has served on the Ophthalmic Advisory Board since 1994, and has recently become an Honored Member of the Opticians Association of America (OAA). She was the winner of the 1994 National Varilux Competition for authoring a children's book about spectacle correction, which has since been approved for copyright. Sheryl holds a B.A. from Beaver College, and an A.A.S. from Camden County College. She is married with three children.
