CTEP Professional Development
According to the thesaurus of the Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC) database, professional development refers to "activities to enhance professional career growth." Such activities may include individual development, continuing education, and in-service education, as well as curriculum writing, peer collaboration, study groups, and peer coaching or mentoring.
Camden County College will provide ongoing and relevant professional development offerings to all Human Services Career Cluster stakeholders throughout the state during this CTEP Grant term. Offerings will be related to integration of academic and technical skills while focusing on Perkins IV and New Jersey Core Curriculum Standards.
STATEWIDE CTE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT EVENT
The New Jersey Department of Education, Office of Career and Technical Education (OCTE) will host a one-day professional development event for teachers, school administrators, college faculty, government and workforce personnel focused on strategies to promote successful student transitions to postsecondary education and careers. The statewide event - Thursday, May 3, 2012, from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Hilton East Brunswick, 3 Tower Center Boulevard, East Brunswick, New Jersey.
